Apps in the Middle
In this session we will share some of the apps we cannot live without in a middle grades environment. We will also share some of the activities we've developed working with Grades 4-8 students on iPads. Audience members can participate during the ''Hot Apps'' sharing segment by sharing their favorite middle school app or app-tivity.

More than one app will be showcased to meet classroom needs and management. Participants are encouraged to bring an iPad and have Captions and Edmodo purchased (FREE). You've heard about Google Apps (Drive, Calendar, Sites, etc.), but have you ever dared to click the ''Even More'' link? This session will share ideas for using those hidden Google tools in your classroom. We'll play with reading levels and other features inside of Google Search and create a Custom Search. You'll discover ways to use Translate with ESL students. We'll explore the world with Panoramio and discover “Even More” that Google has to offer. Sample activities will be provided. Bring your own device to play along!
